This is an animated sequence featuring the musical “Hamilton“. This animation shows the actors and actresses of the musical, providing intense music in the background to bring out emotion and tension. In the beginning, everything is slow, and the animated sequences are slowly presented to the audience. As the music builds up, each sequence becomes faster. This allows the audience to feel the intensity of each character and event that plays out.
Using silhouettes and body language to help push expressions in my designs created a more impactful effect in storytelling. Using colors to differentiate different characters and having consistency of each design to help paint a more accurate look to all really help creates a realistic, yet stylistic feel. I wanted to keep showing Hamilton and Burr throughout the Acts and eras they went through in the musical to showcase how they are the main characters. As they are the first and last characters to be seen in my animation.
